Chapter1.

The little merman boy swam in the ocean, peacully looking at the sceanry around him. The ocean was a dark blue this day since it was a nice summer,warm day. The little merman who's name was White swam closer to the surface to get a veiw of the all the people swimming. A young adult named Esmeralda entered into the ocean and swam out a bit, treading water as she does.
He caught a glance at her when he surfaced, curious he looked up at her. Though she didn't notice him yet he saw what she was wearing when she was in the water and imeditly sank down into the water to hide his face. She turned around to see him just bearly poking out of the water.
"Awww you're so adorable" She said while smiling.
"R-really?" He asked.
She nodded and swam a bit closer to him, smiling down at him. He gave a small smile back at her, giggilng ever so slightly. She smiled more, gently hugging him while she does. He smiles a bit more and surfaces so half of his body is out of the water. She smiles more and giggles softly at him, hugging him again.
"You're really adorable" She said smileing.
"Th-thanks..!" He replied a bit shyly.
She smiled more at him, giggling a bit more. He returns her smile, giggling too. He smiles more at her, swishing his tail underwater. Still smiling she takes his hands.
"Oh...by the way..I'm White.." He said sofly, a bit shy.
"That's a very nice name, I'm Esmeralda" She replied.
She glanced at the fins on his face, tilting her head she getnly touched one. He shivers and imeditly blushes. She recoils her hand back, frowning.
"I'm sorry" She said, still frowing.
"I-It's alright.." He replied, still blushing.
She takes his hands and smiles very softly. He smiles back softly. She getnly runs her fingers through his hair, humming softly. He leans into the touch, closing his eyes, purring softly at her.
The sun started to set, giving the sky a golden look to it, the pink and red clouds started to fade away into the golden skyes. Both looked at the amazing veiw they now had of the skys. She smiled at him and getnly huged him, smiling more.
"D-do you have to go..?" He asked her softly.
"Sadly I do though, I do live close to here so I'll be able to visit you tomorrow if you want me to." She replied
"Oh, alright...c-could you come tomorrow..?" He asked her.
She smiled and nodded before swiming to shore and walking onto the sandy beach. Gathering her stuff she put on her clothes over her swimsuit and walked off up a slighty large set of stairs to a house that was very close to the beach.
She walked into the house, looking around to see if any of her family members were home. Her older brother, Kyle, walked to her, tilting his head.
"Why are you home so late?" He asked her
"Why do you care Kyle? You never show care if I'm home early, or late." She replied not so nicely.
"I just wanted to know. Mom,Dad,James, and the others are all gone on some trip thing that I didn't want to go on. So I got a bit worried you left to and I was alone." He replied to her.
"Where are they going?" She asked.
"I'm not sure, though I think Mom said it was sorta far." He replied, sighing softly.
"Oh, well then." She replied.
"So we're both here alone now untill they get back. I also made dinner." He said, heading off upstairs to his room.
"I wouln't trust you with food at all." She said to herself.
Esmeralda walked to the kitchen, looking around for the 'dinner' her brother made. Walking up to the oven she found a small bowl of ramen. Sighing she takes the bowl and a fork and walks up to her room.
"I was expecting something better Kyle" She said while walking past his room to get to hers.
"Piss off" He yelled from his room.
She snickered softly to herself at that. Once she got into her room she closed her door before walking to her bed and sitting on it. Sitting onn her bed she eats her ramen. Onc finished she finished she set the bowl on her small night stand. She glances out her window, looking at the now dark beach and ocean.
White swam to his rather large cave, filled with gems of all sorts. This was his home. He picked a few of the emerald gems off the walls, keeping them for later. He swam out of his cave, looking around for fish. A small school of fish swam by him and he lunged out at one, grabbing the fish he sank his sharp teeth into it. Ripping out some of the flesh and meat he started to eat it. Finishing the fish he threw the bones off to the side.
He swam around a bit, looking for some flowers that grew in the water. Eventually finging them he picked them all, making them into a flower grown, giggling softly to himself he swam back home. He swam into his cave and swam to where his bed which was at the bottom of the cave. Curling up on his bed he set the flower crown, and the gems on the stand next  to his bed. Closing his eyes he fell asleep.
Esmeralda laid on her bed. Closing her eyes she drifted to sleep.
